It does not matter where you are: in a hotel, on the beach, sitting in your home, or even relaxing on the beach, you probably had a problem with people playing music too loud. If you ask the person(s) to turn off the music or demand that they stop talking so loudly, you are opening yourself up for a confrontation. The people might play music even louder, just to annoy you. The simple thing to do is to ask politely if the people will tone things down.
