Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

Teriyaki chicken has a great flavor. When you add a little honey to the dish, you get an entrée that tastes a little sweeter and less tart than typical teriyaki flavoring. The marinade is so easy that you might never buy store marinade again!

Ingredients:

Four chicken breasts
1-cup honey
1-cup soy sauce
½-cup water
Two tablespoons crushed garlic
Two tablespoons ginger

Mix the honey, soy sauce, water, garlic and ginger in a large bowl. Place the chicken breasts in a zipper storage bag and pour the marinade over the top. Reserve ½ cup to one cup of the marinade. Place the bag in the freezer and soak for several hours or overnight.

Grill the chicken or bake in a 350-degree oven. Pour the remaining marinade in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add one teaspoon cornstarch, which thickens the mixture, turning it into a sauce.

Serve the chicken with rice and steamed or grilled vegetables. Top each chicken with a tablespoon of the sauce.
